Gilmore Piano Camp

This weeklong piano camp offers exciting musical explorations and experiences. Day camp (2 years of piano instruction—minimum) instruction and activities designed for the early years of their piano studies. Resident camp (3 or 4 years of piano instruction—minimum) provides for the intermediate through advanced piano student. All students receive an informal piano audition to ensure proper placement in the camp.

Students are exposed to an integrated curriculum consisting of music, drama, art, nature, and outdoor activities, plus they have access to a keyboard lab that aids in music fundamentals, composition, and appreciation. Campers participate in both solo and ensemble piano instruction with professional musicians and attend performances presented by guest artists and camp faculty.

Held at the Sherman Lake YMCA Outdoor Center, Gilmore Piano Camp is dedicated to expanding piano skills for youngsters ages eight to 15 years old in an exciting outdoor environment.
